EdgeTape ORB Pro
The free indicator shows you the levels. Pro tells you whether to trust the break — Opening Range and Initial Balance on one overlay, measured-move targets, and a volatility-regime filter that fades the signals in conditions where ORB historically falls apart.
At 09:45 ET it scores four factors — overnight direction, gap, prior-day body, ORB15 — into a conviction read. When all four agree (~1 in 3 days), the day went that way ~68% of the time and the continuation trade made +1.29R (NQ) — preliminary, on a small out-of-sample sample (n≈60, ±~12pp). The rest of the time it says STAND DOWN — it tells you when not to trade.
PRELIMINARY — a directional bias, not a win rate, on a SMALL out-of-sample sample (n≈60 high-conviction days). The ~68% / +1.29R figures carry a wide confidence band (≈±12pp on direction) and are NOT yet a graduated edge. Use the map as a conviction/STAND-DOWN filter, not a number to size off; it needs ~2× the sample before it earns the 'validated' label. Honest beats hype — including about our own numbers.
Every number we publish is tested on 3 years of real 1-minute data with executable fills, slippage, and an out-of-sample split — and when our OWN numbers fail a re-test, we withdraw them publicly (we did exactly that in June 2026 with two previously marketed edges).
